2024 is a landmark year for Weber Logistics, as the company celebrates an incredible 100 years of business. In July, Weber staff, family, and friends gathered to honor this milestone—and to pay tribute to the man whose vision and leadership shaped the company into what it is today: former owner and company chairman, Nick Weber.
The celebration, captured in the video included below, featured a special presentation led by CEO Bob Lilja and Nick Weber himself, taking attendees on a nostalgic journey through Weber’s long and rich history. From its beginnings in 1924 as the Jennings-Nibley Warehouse Company, through decades of expansion across Southern California and the West Coast, the story of Weber Logistics is a testament to family-driven leadership, adaptability, and growth.
The presentation highlighted the company’s humble start, tracing back to when Karl Weber—Nick’s father—acquired Jennings-Nibley during the Great Depression. It then chronicled Nick Weber's pivotal role, beginning in 1965, when he purchased the business from family members and set it on the course toward becoming one of the premier 3PLs on the West Coast. Over the years, the company evolved, built state-of-the-art warehouses, acquired key competitors, and developed omnichannel distribution capabilities to meet the needs of today’s top brands.
Nick’s leadership did more than just expand Weber’s infrastructure and services. As noted by his daughter, Tisha Weber, the true heart of the company’s success lies in its culture of family and care—a philosophy that continues to guide Weber’s relationships with both customers and employees.
