According to FreightWaves, the Port of Los Angeles had its busiest June on record, moving 892,340 TEUs—an 8% increase year-over-year. This is due, in large part, to retailers accelerating holiday imports, anticipating potential tariff hikes later this year.

Imports rose 10%, while exports increased 3%. Port officials noted that July may mark the peak season as companies frontload shipments to avoid future trade disruptions and maintain supply chain stability.
